Simply by shopping at one of the participating Supermarkets (Raley’s, Savemart, SPD) and showing them your card or coupon designating Big Brothers Big Sisters as the beneficiary, 3% of your grocery receipt will be donated to our agency EVERY TIME YOU SHOP! This is the easiest way to contribute to our programs… without paying a dime out of your own pocket!
For Raley’s or Savemart:
Please send us an email to info@bigsofnc.org with your first and last name, phone number and mailing address. Please indicate which supermarket you want us to sign you up for: Raley’s or Savemart. You can sign up for both if you want!
We will then use that information to sign you up for the supermarket partner program(s) of your choice and request a card for you to present at the store each time you shop. Once we receive your card, we will mail it to you for you to start using right away!
For SPD Markets:
Both of the Grass Valley and Nevada City SPD Markets are using the eScrip program to support local nonprofits. To support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County, download the sign up form here, complete the form with our name for the nonprofit you want to support and your information, then bring to SPD the next time you shop and they will give you a card to use everytime you shop!
The impact
With each of our BIG Supermarket Partner Programs, we receive a quarterly donation based on all the receipts that designated our agency as the beneficiary. To give you an idea of how much this can amount to, we had about 200 people signed up for the Albertson’s program when it was in business here and we raised $10,000 a year from that program alone.
