Each day Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County & North Lake Tahoe builds a better future for our local children.

It costs our agency an average of $1,200 annually to create, monitor and support a safe and rewarding mentoring match that makes a BIG difference in a child’s life. We have more children on the list waiting for a Big Brother or Big Sister than we have the capacity to serve. Please give now and take a child off the list!

By contributing to Big Brothers Big Sister of Nevada County in one of these ways, you provide:

  • Volunteer Mentor screening and a background check for a safe match.
  • Orientation sessions for new Bigs and Littles to help them off to a great start.
  • Tips, training, and ongoing supervision and support to foster fun and rewarding interaction.
  • Organized activities for Bigs and Littles like bowling, baseball outings, crafts and swimming.
  • A life-changing relationship full of little moments and big magic!

Although donations of all amounts are welcome, we offer the following levels of contribution to help us build a better future for children:

  • Match Maker: $1,200 – $2,499

All donations will receive a letter of appreciation from our agency along with information for tax deductible purposes. We will also try to recognize and appreciate our donors in a manner that suits their personal interests and preferences.
